About the QuickLux 2 Lightroom Presets
QuickLUX 2 is a set of creative colour film like presets for Lightroom. This pack of Lightroom presets was inspired by various 35mm film styles that are popular at the moment, in magazines and online. Rather than try to outright emulate certain types of film and processing, these presets are artistic impressions of modern film styles. The pack includes some creative takes on the “Outdoor Adventurer” style that is popular at the moment, with an emphasis on deep green tones and strong browns, as well as some artistic interpretations of faded films, slide films and black and white looks.
What’s in the QuickLux 2 Lightroom Presets Collection
The QuickLUX 2 Lightroom Presets come in three main parts. The first is a set of “set-up” presets, designed to set your images to the correct profile based on your camera, and also to set some common settings such as turning on chromatic aberration reduction and automatic lens correction. This is an optional step that helps speed up your workflow by setting some common settings for you. There are versions for various camera manufacturers, so just pick the one that most suits the camera that you shot with.
The second is the main QuickLUX 2 presets themselves. There are 30 main variations of QuickLUX 2 with some alternate versions.
The Third is a set of Vignette, Grain and Grad presets. These contain some of my personal settings for various types of grain, some common vignette settings and some useful graduated filter setups. If you have already purchased see of my other presets, and already have the Grad, grain and Vignette pack, you don’t have to install it.

About the included Styles
These set of 4 presets are designed to mimic a stylised image shot on colour negative film. The look was inspired by the popular “woodsman” genre of lifestyle magazine images. It has a slightly muted colour palette with emphasis on browns and greens, and works particularly well on images shot on dull or cloudy days.
These are a set of looks, which have a similar palette to QNeg basic but are designed to emulate “Faded” film. They have raised black levels, and each variation has a slightly different colour treatment as well as different contrast levels.
QNeg Medium was inspired by the bright look of film photography shot on Medium format film. The look has bright rich colours with subtle muted tones in the highlights.
QNeg Mono is a set of black and white presets. They are designed to look like film with a degree of contrast, but some also have a slightly faded look to them.
QNeg Retro was created to give a look inspired by expired film. It has altered colours and a more “bleached” looking colour palette.
The QTrans looks are inspired by the look of transparency film. they have stronger blacks and more contrast than the Negative versions. Each variation has slightly different colours and contrasts, as well as various levels of vignetting
These presets are designed to look like older films, and have more treated colours and contrast levels, as well as some muted colours in some of the versions.
These are “vivid” versions of the QTrans presets.
Some General Note about Presets
Not all images are suitable for all presets. Some images just wont produce pleasing results and won’t be appropriate for the type of presets you may be trying to use, depending on the subject matter.
It is also important to note that any preset won’t be a magic bullet. Presets should be considered as a starting point. More often than not images may require additional adjustments after applying presets.
