About Industrial Iron
This Idea for Industrial Iron came about when I was processing some images of a German townscape that I took on a dull and rainy day. I had wanted to create a look that was industrial, and spoke of urban decay, and this is what I came up with. It follows on from my other ‘metals” series, such as Bleached Bronze, Landscape Gold and Steely Blue. The set is one of my “effects” style packs and it’s specifically designed to be used where you want to create a stark, industrial type look.
The Industrial Iron presets come in two main parts. The first is a set of “set-up” presets, designed to set your images to the correct profile based on your camera, and also to set some common settings such as turning on chromatic aberration reduction and automatic lens correction. This is an optional step that helps speed up your workflow by setting some common settings for you. There are versions for various camera manufacturers, so just pick the one that most suits the camera that you shot with. The second is the main Industrial Iron presets themselves. There are 25 main presets in Industrial Iron.

Some General Note about Presets
Not all images are suitable for all presets. Some images just wont produce pleasing results and won’t be appropriate for the type of presets you may be trying to use, depending on the subject matter.
It is also important to note that any preset won’t be a magic bullet. Presets should be considered as a starting point. More often than not images may require additional adjustments after applying presets.
